Communication within eMonocot
This document provides a brief summary of the available communication channels in the eMonocot project and what they should be used for.
Mailing Lists / Forums
The mailing lists are linked to the forums so that a permanent archive of communication is available. This is for general discussion of any issues relating to the project, a list of available mailing lists can be found at http://e-monocot.org/content-team/using-mailing-lists.
Document Store
The document store is for sharing finalised documents. It is intended to make it easy to find documents that may need to be accessed regularly. It also allows documents to be grouped together (e.g. the agenda and minutes of a meeting can be grouped together with PowerPoint presentations given at the meeting as attachments to a single page).
Documents for discussion are generally better circulated via the relevant mailing list and only the resulting finalised document added to the document store.
Issue Queue
The issue queue is for making feature requests and bug reports relating to e-monocot.org, the main eMonocot software or the eMonocot Scratchpads. When logged in to e-monocot.org it can be accessed via the ‘Issues’ tab on the right of the screen. It can be found at http://dev.scratchpads.eu/project/issues/emonocot.
